Do you want to know how to be a yoga teacher?
Are you thinking of joining the MFML / Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training course?
Would you like to know more about what to expect and the skills you’ll learn?
When I first thought about becoming a yoga teacher, I was full of questions, wondering whether I’d be good enough, how much work was involved, could I manage it alongside my other commitments, how soon could I begin to teach, and more. If you’re feeling the same, join Catherine Annis on Saturday 10th May to find out more about what life is like as a yoga teacher and how I can help you build a new life in yoga.
We’ll cover:
- What to expect on a typical training day – timings and schedule, outline of the material we’ll cover over the course of the training.
- Why IYTT is special.
- Fitting the teacher training course into your busy life. You want to train as a yoga teacher, but you have work, family and other commitments. Is it possible to train alongside everything else?
- Whether you can join even though you don’t want to teach.
- How the course supports you in your learning goals.
- How we’ll help you develop your practical teaching skills
- How we prioritise your practical teaching experience to help you shine.
- How we support our graduates beyond the course.
- Details of our mentoring and supervision programme.
I hope you’ll join me and look forward to meeting you.

Catherine Annis is well known for her imaginative and practical approach to yoga. In 2017 she created the Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training Course (IYTT), a 12 month, anatomically focused teacher training course with world-leading teacher Gary Carter.
Originally a professional dancer, she discovered yoga as a teenager, and has been practicing since the mid 1970s. Having studied various styles of yoga including Sivananda, Iyengar, Astanga and various forms of Hatha yoga, she eventually gravitated to the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli.
Catherine’s yoga practice and teaching focuses on strategies for downregulating the nervous system, working with breath and subtle somatic work to soothe the mind and create more physical ease for those working with persistent pain, stress and anxiety. She holds a Masters degree in ballet studies, and is a qualified Thai massage practitioner, and it is this interest in the body which informs and inspires her teaching.
