Getting Grounded in Uncertain Times
These are anxious times. We are nearly two years into a global pandemic, the future progression of which is still uncertain. Covid only added to a building list of collective worries – climate change, racial injustice, political divisiveness, economic inequality – all of which have had their effect on our mental health.
In this anxiety workshop with psychotherapist Kelly Hearn, we will discover ways to work constructively with our anxiety. Expect to explore different experiential exercises with Kelly such as guided visualisation, journalling, and intention setting. There will also be time for Q&A.
In this workshop we will:
- Look at our relationship to the anxiety as our ‘feelings about the feelings’ are an important starting place
- Learn more about the connection between the body and our thoughts, and how these fuel each other and our anxiety
- Discover tools and techniques to neutralise they physical and cognitive symptoms of anxiety
- Appreciate the benefits of our sensitive nervous systems, and the important messages anxiety may have for us
This workshop is perfect if you’re feeling stressed or anxious right now and everyone is welcome. This workshop will not be recorded to create a safe, private space.
