Find Your Feet: The Roots of Support
Saturday 24th September 2022 | 10am – 12pm (BST)
Join us for a morning of yoga with world-class teacher, Jean Hall, to explore our roots of support: the feet.
Our feet are truly amazing! Each foot contains 26 bones, 33 joints, more than 100 tendons, muscles, and ligaments, a whopping 250,000 sweat glands and on top of that, they have more sensory nerve endings per inch than any other part the body. Yet, our feet are often neglected, used, abused and trampled on every single day.
This live online yoga workshop will address this injustice and will help to replenish and rejuvenate our feet so we may feel and reconnect with them as the powerful roots that they are. And as our roots become nourished, our whole body can revive and reconnect to the profound support of the earth.
All levels of experience are welcome, although some basic understanding of yoga posture is recommended to get the most out of the class.
As some somatic anatomy will be included this workshop may be of interest to teachers of yoga, movement and other bodywork practices.
This workshop will include:
- Breath awareness
- Breath centred asana practice, balance and vinyasa
- Some simple structural anatomy
- Walking meditation
- Discussion, reflection and contemplation
Jean Hall is loved for her soulful and challenging classes, which which help lead students and teachers safely beyond limitations and closer to their true potential and confidence.
