Holidays are over, we\u2019re back to the daily routine. Which is a wonderful opportunity to start forming a new routine, one that you can manage every day.<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3359 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/habits.png\" alt=\"computer habits\" width=\"600\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/habits.png 600w, https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/habits-300x141.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><br \/>\nMany of us, including me, work in sedentary jobs these days, slumped over a computer. Now we\u2019re in a time of starting afresh after the holidays, perhaps you\u2019ll join me getting into some new habits. Recognise the impact of computers on your health, your posture, your breathing \u2013 and do something about it!<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve written a little blog on <a href=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/yoga-tech-folks\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/yoga-tech-folks\/\">Yoga for Tech<\/a>, it\u2019s something I feel passionately about. Make a commitment to take more breaks away from your computer. Instead of smoking breaks, how about breathing breaks? Do your neck, wrist and shoulder release poses often. Make sure you don\u2019t hold tension in your jaw, no matter how tense-making your job, your jaw won\u2019t help you. We have a whole section on <a href=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/videos?c=35\" target=\"_blank\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/videos?c=35\">Yoga for Work<\/a>.\u00a0I do hope you\u2019re able to take your 10 minute breaks and these classes help you.<\/p>\n<h4>Resist The Pings<\/h4>\n<p>Most of all, don\u2019t respond to every ping, email, notification immediately. It\u2019s way better for productivity to focus on your task and then bunch your emails together at certain times of day.
