I can feel stuck in my ways, stuck with my practice, stuck so that I don\u2019t make decisions, just plain old stuck in life.<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5318\" src=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/unnamed.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/unnamed.png 600w, https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/unnamed-300x140.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sometimes when I get stuck in a rut, I just repeat the same practice, which worked for me months or weeks ago, but I\u2019m not feeling the same benefit as I did then.\u00a0<\/strong>And I\u2019m left wondering, why doesn\u2019t that work for me now, it used to then? For me, my \u2018go to\u2019 practices are something feisty like a\u00a0<strong>vinyasa or a hatha class in the morning<\/strong>, and a\u00a0<strong>Yin evening practice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>But sometimes, when I\u2019m just not feeling it from my \u2018usuals\u2019 on the mat and when I\u2019m feeling \u2018stuck\u2019 with my practice, my\u00a0<strong>life reflects it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>These are times that I find decisions harder to make, doors that usually just fall open are failing to open for me, that I\u2019m making tons of effort, for not much reward. And in life, the things that usually have, and in the past have worked for me, just aren\u2019t having the same result.\u00a0<strong>These are the signs<\/strong>\u00a0that we\u2019re falling into unhelpful habitual behaviour and that we\u2019re \u2018stuck\u2019<\/p>\n<p>I speak to a lot of our Movers in our\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/372421849775445\/?mc_cid=35c854bc80&amp;mc_eid=[UNIQID]\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en-GB&amp;q=https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/372421849775445\/?mc_cid%3D35c854bc80%26mc_eid%3D%5BUNIQID%5D&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1511280953246000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGI2AwPgDySvTb3AT4SaFybTECsfw\">Facebook Movers Group<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and in \u2018real life\u2019 and I hear a lot that people have their favourite \u2018go to\u2019 classes, but they don\u2019t branch out to\u00a0<strong>try new classes<\/strong>\u00a0or practice. This week I\u2019d love for us all to try something completely different.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Have you ever tried QiGong?<\/strong>\u00a0We are building\u00a0a lovely range of classes with our newest teacher\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/yoga-teacher\/jooteoh?mc_cid=35c854bc80&amp;mc_eid=[UNIQID]\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en-GB&amp;q=https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/yoga-teacher\/jooteoh?mc_cid%3D35c854bc80%26mc_eid%3D%5BUNIQID%5D&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1511280953247000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGbnQaFu5U5OHE3-TLe9c6ROJl8hA\">Joo<\/a><\/strong>, who in his writings describes why he practices Qigong:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We all want to be well. By being well, we can have\u00a0<strong>healthier lives, easier relationships,\u00a0<\/strong>and hopefully live with less pain. Physical activity like Qigong is useful if being well means we are able to\u00a0<strong>live our lives more fully<\/strong>. For me, it means being able to\u00a0<strong>smile and laugh<\/strong>\u00a0more easily with my family and friends. This is why I practice Qigong and why I passionately teach it. Imagine that your intentions are the banks of a river, and the qi is the water flowing in the river.
