I make these focused to set my headspace for the day ahead.<\/p>\n<p>Next I put on some upbeat tunes and have a <strong>yoga dance party<\/strong>, allowing myself to be expressive and creative which I find really helps me to be open minded and creative throughout my day at art college and when faced with a challenge.<\/p>\n<h5>Daily ingredient? I went to Scotland to stay with my Dad. I began to use meditation to work through some upset and I found it so beneficial that I found myself hooked on it.<\/p>\n<p>I got into movement when I got a yoga mat and yoga DVD for Christmas &#8211; I started doing the DVD most days before school. It really helped through my GCSE\u2019s so I decided to make it part of my daily life.<\/p>\n<h5>What motivates you to move more?<\/h5>\n<p>The feeling of sheer peace, health and joy which pumps through my veins \u2013 it is such a natural high.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I know that an hour of yoga in the morning will make me feel 100% more energised and happy than that extra hour in bed so I wake up!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-5583\" src=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/robin-smile-1024x687.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"456\" srcset=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/robin-smile-1024x687.png 1024w, https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/robin-smile-300x201.png 300w, https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/robin-smile-768x515.png 768w, https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/robin-smile-624x418.png 624w, https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/robin-smile.png 1214w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>What&#8217;s the last book you read?<\/h5>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/barefootinvestor.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Barefoot Investor<\/a> by Scott Pape.<\/strong> This is a wonderful humorous financial book written by an Australian and it&#8217;s all about how you can do what you love, be financially secure and have a balanced lifestyle.<\/p>\n<h5>Living thinker \u2013 tell us about someone whose life perspective you admire?<\/h5>\n<p><strong>Rachel Brathen aka \u2018Yogagirl\u2019.<\/strong>\u00a0 I used to follow her a lot when I was younger on social media <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/yoga_girl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@yoga_girl<\/a>\u00a0and I admire her authenticity and how she shares her highs and lows and how she uses her practice to balance out her emotions.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I found it very helpful growing up to have a more positive and realistic role model on social media.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h5>Places to practice \u2013 your top five places you have or would?<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>I recently went on a 10 day rafting trip with my family in the Tasmanian wilderness. Practicing yoga there was transformational &#8211; very simple and connecting.<\/li>\n<li>The beacon near my home \u2013 it\u2019s wonderful to get high, look out over the Cotswolds and have a sense of expansion.<\/li>\n<li>Bucket list of places to practice: India, on the ocean (sup yoga) and at the top of a mountain&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Favourite way to detox?<\/h5>\n<p><strong>Sugar only Fridays!<\/strong>\u00a0I recently started this and its been fab <strong>I don\u2019t feel like I\u2019m missing out<\/strong> as I just save a special treat for a Friday and it has made me feel more focused and healthy in the week.
