That\u2019s because, to me, they\u2019re really not very important.<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5727 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/NL-Head-Crow-2.png\" alt=\"moving mindfully\" width=\"600\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/NL-Head-Crow-2.png 600w, https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/NL-Head-Crow-2-300x140.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Instead, <strong>what\u2019s important is moving mindfully, <\/strong>making sure our breaths are long and smooth, and that we act like yogis in our day to day lives, living life with great care and consciously. To me, <strong>the shape is how it feels on the inside<\/strong> rather than to look or form of it. That\u2019s my personal take on Asana.<\/p>\n<h5>But Asana can be empowering&#8230;<\/h5>\n<p>But I don\u2019t know about you, but I got hooked by yoga all those decades ago, <strong>because of the physicality of it.<\/strong> Because the shapes somehow made me feel just <strong>wonderful<\/strong>. I found it extraordinary that I could not turn myself <strong>upside down<\/strong>, inside out, and balance in ways I had never thought possible. I found that extremely <strong>empowering<\/strong>. So it is empowering to know that how we move our body effects so much of how we move in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Now that in the UK the days are starting to get longer and we see a <strong>glimmer of spring.<\/strong> It\u2019s a lovely time to start to<strong> make shapes<\/strong> on the mat again with a little more <strong>intention<\/strong>. I speak to many folks who are foxed by the crow pose. It looks like a tough pose and to those new to yoga it looks almost impossible. But as yogis know, it\u2019s more a question of flying with our <strong>Bhandas<\/strong> and feeling <strong>strong inside <\/strong>and the rest comes easily.<\/p>\n<p>For those who like a <strong>physical challenge<\/strong>, I do hope to see you take us up on this latest <a href=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/challenge-crow-challenge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/challenge-crow-challenge\"><strong>challenge<\/strong><\/a>. If you\u2019re strong and fit and have been practicing for a while, this is for you.
