That\u2019s the day where the importance of getting a good night\u2019s rest is promoted.<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5771\" src=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/sleep-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/sleep-2.png 600w, https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/sleep-2-300x140.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Getting a full night sleep is of such importance, we all know how terrible we feel after a bad night\u2019s sleep \u2013 but did you know that getting your full 8 hours is important for so many other reasons too?<\/p>\n<h5>Getting a good nights\u2019 rest&#8230;<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Helps to <strong>repair<\/strong> the body\u2019s cells, fight disease and infection<\/li>\n<li>Helps us to increase <strong>focus<\/strong> and productivity<\/li>\n<li>Makes us <strong>kinder<\/strong> and more\u00a0tolerant to others<\/li>\n<li>Makes us <strong>brainier<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Improves our <strong>leadership<\/strong> (boss-like!) qualities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Check out my other<a href=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/improve-sleep\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/blog\/improve-sleep\/\"><strong>\u00a0blog post<\/strong><\/a> for more info about that!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h5>Our Big Sleep Challenge<\/h5>\n<p>So in advance of <strong>World Sleep Day<\/strong>,\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0going to be doing the <a href=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/challenge-bigsleep\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/movementformodernlife.com\/challenge-bigsleep\"><strong>Sleep Challenge<\/strong><\/a> all this week (and posting about it on our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/372421849775445\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/372421849775445\/\">Movers Group<\/a><\/strong>). It\u2019s a challenge where we give you daily hints and tips of things\u00a0which will improve your (sleep) performance in bed and of course you\u2019ll be getting our daily evening yoga class, as well as our wakey-wakey suggested classes.<\/p>\n<h5>If you\u2019re like me and you end up absolutely exhausted by the end of the day, feeling powerless unable to move and sucked into the sofa, this challenge is for us!<\/h5>\n<p>The sleep well classes are so helpful. Our part is to drag\u00a0ourselves off\u00a0the sofa, switch off the TV, put on some lovely music and PJ\u2019s and get yourself cozy and\u00a0in the right frame of mind for the best nights\u2019 sleep ever.
