Chanting: Get to the Heart of Yoga

    Naomi Absalom

This is a popular devotional song known as a bhajan, and is called Shri Krishna Govinda Hare Murare, Hey Nath Narayana Vasudevaa. This particular bhajan has a pacifying and soulful quality to it - it is a lovely route directly into the heart of yoga. Singing and drumming can help us release some of the charge of our nervous system. Focus on the vibration of sound, the slowness of your breath, the weaving of the melody.

    Get Off Your Mat

Changing a known route can shift us into the now. This yoga class is a somatic movement flow for those feeling the call to explore even further beyond the four corners of the mat. Great for teachers or those with a more intermediate practice. This is a sequence Naomi often shares in her teacher's practices. A creative, playful and challenging class.

    Full Body Tune Up

    Naomi Absalom

When is a vinyasa not a vinyasa? When it's full body tune up. This yoga class isn't yoga in the traditional way. Class focuses on full mobility in the body working systematically through all the joints and works on range of motion. If there's any class that everyone should do everyday to make sure that the whole body is tuned, it should be this class. The class is all-levels, although including some headstand variations which of course should be practiced only if that's in your regular practice. Some of the movements are to a full range of motion, so are tough, so do take class in your own time, at your own pace and only do what is helpful for you. Class ends with a chant.

    Balance And Stability Quickie

    Naomi Absalom

A surprisingly challenging balance sequence, all on a block. Great for improviing your stability, and you may find that your glutes get a workout too! A fantastic class for all-levels, but you may find that you'd prefer to stay at the first stage of the practice until you're ready to move on. You will need a yoga brick to balance on.

    Spacious and Fluid Spine

    Naomi Absalom

This class is a somatics-based which focuses on how yoga feels from the inside rather than how the poses look from the outside. This practice is not a traditional posture-led yoga class but focuses on freedom of movement, giving spaciousness between the joints and especially the spine. With a focus on spaciousness between the joints and especially the spine, you might find that a stiff or sore back feels freer and you feel increased mobility in your spine and a stronger core.
