"I was blown away by Matthew's workshop. What an amazing teacher". ED
Winter invites us to slow down, turn inwards and conserve our energy. But colder, darker days can also have an impact on our physical and emotional wellbeing, leaving us feeling more tired, tense or depleted.
We’re delighted to be hosting senior teacher Sifu Matthew Cohen for a nourishing immersive winter Qigong workshop designed specifically to help us work with the natural rhythms of the season, cultivate warmth and support our physical and emotional resilience.
Matthew is a life-long yoga, qigong and martial arts practitioner from California who has a truly beautiful practice and way of integrating yoga, qigong and martial arts to explore how we can access our own innate power.
Drawing on the ancient practice of Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Matthew will guide us through gentle, flowing movements, breathwork and meditation to help us connect with our energy, settle the nervous system and create a sense of inner strength and steadiness.
Winter is traditionally associated with the Water Element and the kidneys in Chinese Medicine - a season of rest, conservation and deep nourishment. Together, we'll explore practices to support us through the darker, colder months and help us stay grounded as the seasons change.
What to expect:
🌟 Gentle, flowing Qigong sequences to build warmth, circulate energy, and boost immunity.
🌟 Breathwork to settle the nervous system and support emotional balance.
🌟 Winter practices inspired by the Water Element and the rhythms of the season.
🌟 Meditation and mindful movement to encourage stillness, focus and inner connection.
Key benefits:
✅ Strengthen your immune system naturally
✅ Cultivate deep internal warmth and vitality
✅ Reduce stress, fatigue, and mental fog
✅ Walk away with a home practice to carry you through the winter months
