Learning to work with our bodies, not against them.
When our bodies are struggling, it's easy to lose confidence in what we can do. Feelings of disconnect, frustration, limitations as bodies change and life takes its toll.
Healing isn't always about doing more or returning to the same place. Sometimes it's about learning to listen more closely, meeting your body where it is today, and discovering what it needs to move forwards with confidence.
Explore how yoga can help us reconnect more deeply with our bodies, rebuild confidence and find movement, breath and rest that support us through illness, injury, extreme fatigue and times of change, including age related illness.
Drawing on practices from different yoga traditions, Barbara offers gentle, adaptable tools to help us work with our bodies rather than against them. We'll explore ways to build strength without pushing beyond our limits, create more ease and awareness, and develop a personal practice that can adapt as needs change.
In this workshop we'll:
🌟 Learn to listen more closely to our body and respond to what we need right now.
🌟 Discover breathing practices and simple repetitive movements to support different needs.
🌟 Discover gentle ways to build strength while adapting movement to our own energy and abilities.
🌟 Explore how yoga can support us through periods of change, recovery and extreme tiredness.
🌟 Explore the difference between recovering our balance and finding a new balance.
🌟 Develop practical tools to bring more ease, awareness and support into everyday life.
🌟 Reflect and begin shaping a personal practice that works and adapts.
Whether you're recovering from illness, injury, surgery or treatment, living with extreme fatigue, just plain exhausted and depleted, or simply navigating a body that feels different from the one you knew before, this workshop offers space to pause, listen and begin to move forward with greater confidence.
