Tight or painful back, legs or hips? Take this easy series with Leila and benefit from this easy to follow straightforward routine. Easy and effective pain relief and maintenance for those of you who are new to yoga, who are working with injuries or those with very limited time. Props: Yoga block or stack of books. Yoga belt or tie/scarf.
Heat Your Body, Cool Your Nervous System
In this class, Leila shares her own practice which helps her to deal with living in the modern, urban world. How she pulls her awareness away from struggle and into ease. This is a meditative, heating practice to cool the nervous system and support the immune system. The class is a fast-flowing and core-focused Anusara-Inspired vinyasa flow ending with plenty of supine twists.
Yoga for Anxiety
This is a yoga class for when your head is a 'swiling thought mess'. Class starts with some energetic jumping lunges (feel free to give these a miss if you're not up to them!) - then the class intersperses asana to open and release the hips with calming breath exercises. Suitable for all levels, although not everyone may be able to keep up with Leila's energy levels at the start of class, but persevere if you can! The remaining 30 minutes of yoga and breath-work is much more peaceful and bound to see your anxiety levels to calm and managable levels.
After Work Stretch
Urban Hipsters & Twisters
Urban hipsters & twisters. This is a live yoga class for improvers but with modifications both for the less strong and flexible and leading to advanced level asana. In this class Leila particularly addresses the effects of urban living by focusing on opening the hips and then giving it a twist, but rural dwellers will also be able appreciate the profound openings brought by this soulful class. Props: You will need a strap.
