Forearm Balance Tutorial
A tutorial for pincha mayurasana, or forearm balance. Build strength and confidence with some preparatory poses, then learn the correct and safe way to enter and hold this asana, using props if need be. You will need a strap, block and your mat against a wall.

Headstand Tutorial
This yoga pose tutorial offers two variations of the headstand; the standard headstand and the tripod headstand. If you have never tried headstand before, this is a great place to start. It is also a handy reminder on alignment for those more experienced in this pose.

Upside Down At The Wall
Practise handstand, forearm-stand and headstand at the wall with support and guidance. Straightforward and direct, we will go step-by-step through the progression of these postures with the support of the wall. Add this to your daily practice (remembering it takes time to develop these postures!) or whenever you need a reminder.

Play With Inversions
A tutorial for those who have a strong inversion practice, either headstand or forearm stand and who are looking for a challenge when already stable upside down. This class is best done with a partner. Build control in your centre whilst in an active inversion through multiple leg variations.

A short tutorial to help you practice the tripod headstand to crane pose transition. Starting with hip stretches then some strengthening with plank pose, this class shows us how to transition from tripod headstand to crane pose. You'll need a stable, freestanding tripod headstand for this tutorial.

Vinyasa to inversion
A fast-moving vinyasa designed to get you ready to handstand, mostly with core work, plenty of vinyasa, ideal to practice before one of our Handstand classes in the Handstand Challenge, or for your own handstand practice. Without a cool-down, you will need a twisting and backbending sequence as well as a savasana after this class. We think that adding a yin or restorative class onto the end instead of, or after your handstands is just perfect!

Forearm Balance Tutorial
Emma prepares us for the key consituents for the complex pose of Forearm Balance (Pincha Mayurasana)- this is a balance which requires open shoulders, good balance and plenty of core strength. You will need a block. This tutorial shows us how to prepare, open and strengthen for the pose, how to safely perform Forearm Balance by the wall and then how to perform Forearm Balance in the middle of the room and how to fall out of it. You will need a belt, and possibly another rolled up mat.
