For our regular readers, you’ll be delighted to hear that this is our final piece of inspiration on the Chakras, and our final Chakra is the crown Chakra. Yes, it’s an ethereal one – and for me, I find it the least relatable chakra, located at the crown of the head and associated with, well, things unworldly.
But the thing about the Crown chakra is that when we harness this kind of energy, we realise that it’s not all about us. The whole journey through the body from root to the crown, has been all about something other than connecting to ourselves. It’s actually about connecting to the source, to something deeper than just our physical bodies. For me personally, as a non-religious person, this is just a connection to a sense of joy and love and connection with others. But each of us has our own personal understanding of what that state of bliss is and how it comes about – we’re all unique!
Try Lucy’s final Chakra class to connect with your Crown Chakra and unite mind and body in a nourishing meditative practice.
And the expression of uniqueness of our minds as well as our bodies is what Andrew is addressing in his tutorial and blog this week – addressing the common questions of ‘why can she do that pose and why can’t I!’ It’s a tantrum we’ve all had on our mats!! But the answer is because all of our bodies are created very, very differently and we shouldn’t expect what works for one person to work for us all.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could appreciate, recognise and learn to love our difference and diversity in our bodies, minds and in our spirituality. And recognising and learning to love our difference, let’s go out there and make a difference!
With love,
Kat xxx
