Ashtanga › Jean Hall

A traditional yet physically demanding, flowing and dynamic practice. It follows a set sequence of poses, that students practice the same way each time, holding each pose for five to eight breaths. There are six series of poses in Ashtanga, each with a different focus, and asanas become more challenging as the class progresses.

    Following the basic underlying pattern sequence of the primary series but offered here with a gentle and modified approach so it’s accessible to all abilities and energy levels. You will need a strap, 2 foam blocks or a cushion, a chair and the wall.
