Goes the saying. It’s really important for you to keep your spine moving so that it stays strong, healthy and flexible. But you knew that already. These videos are great if you have a desk job and don’t move as much as you could, or if you already have stiff spine, shoulders or hips. Just remember to do the practices in these videos. Every day. We have got videos of different lengths here so you don’t need to put your back out trying to fit it in your schedule.
We don’t guarantee that you’ll be ready to join the Chinese circus, but we think that your back will appreciate the extra loving you give it and will reward you with less pain. Prenatal Pilates - Arms and Back focus (for all levels and trimesters)
Strengthen the upper body, arms and back. Using an elastic band, or a long strap, or tins of beans work just fine too, this class targets your arms and back muscles. You will begin with standing arm exercises, such as biceps curls and triceps work, and explore further upper body focused patterns, including safe modified press-ups on your knees and triceps dips, with variations to suit your energy levels. The practice will help you improve your posture and strengthen your back, so that you can better accommodate the changes your body is going through, and reduce back discomfort and weakness. Flow to Scorpion Yoga Pose
This advanced level vinyasa flow is suitable for those with an existing inversions practice. After a warm-up, take your mat to the wall for some challenging, advanced level inversion variations. This class is not suitable for those who have any physical limitations, or those who do not have a regular inversions practice - the variations are tough. Of course, if you're not comfortable with the poses, please do sit out those poses and adopt child's pose, or a more suitable variation. If you are a mobile, fit and strong practitioner, you'll love these variations and have a lot of fun going upside down!

This really fun, strengthening yoga and movement class creatively works the back and core. Expect a full warm up and workout with options for all abilities. In this challenging class, you'll focus on the posterior muscle chain of the body (the back) and learn how to engage and recruit these muscles and then balance things out by working on the core to help create stability as we move.

Forrest Yoga Ceremony 2: Walkabout
Reason and intellect can only take us so far, there comes a time when we need to go Walkabout. Walkabout is an ancient ritual of the Australian Aborigines. This is the deliberate action of physically moving (using yoga poses) to release worries and distractions. . This Forrest Yoga class is a luxurious two hour backbend sequence that includes standing poses deliciously interwoven with therapeutic backbends, musical sun salutations, and some exciting apex poses. We culminate this ceremonial Forrest yoga class with a dreamy savasana, where José takes us on an internal journey through our own mystery.

Building Strength for Inversions
Set yourself up for success in inversions like handstand, forearm stand and headstand! This is a preparatory practices for inversions and will emphasise the component parts of these poses; so what needs to be opened, warmed up, strengthened and educated. Learn to warm up the hamstrings and wrists, engage the core, stabilise the shoulders and root into the earth. If you wish to build on this practice, you can do so with Kristen's tadasana and headstand tutorials. If you wish to continue your practice, you can do so with a savasana. You may need a strap and two blocks.

Building strength for arm balances
This strong yoga practice will take you through a sequence of poses which will help strengthen and warm up the body ready for arm balances. Expect hip openers, core work, wrist strengthening and shoulder stabilisation. Follow this practice with some arm balance tutorials such as crow and flying pigeon, then a well deserved savasana! Mandala Sun Salutations: Backbends
Backbends need strength as well as flexibility to execute safely. This strong vinyasa yoga class is inspired by Katarina's self practice for when she's short on time. This is a strong class, but great for if you only have a spare half hour to make the most of! It's a sure and fast way to get you flowing and sweating creatively. This flow focuses on finding space in all of the components of a backbend; the shoulders, hip flexors and quads. It also focuses on using active stretches, so we gain more mobility (strength & flexibility) which is especially important for safe backbending. Enjoy this fun and fast flow. You may need blocks and a strap.

Mandala Salutations: Hamstrings & Inversions
A dynamic, swift-paced mandala sun salutation based vinyasa yoga class. Mandala salutations move 360 degrees around the mat, this flow focuses on hamstrings and working towards inversions. Class gets started straight away, you'll find plenty of hamstring-opening poses to get you stronger and prepare you for your inversion practice. This class is tough, fast and fun. We recommend you do a warming up practice and a relaxation practice afternwards, but this one is the pure-flow for those who just need to move! Cleansing Twisty Jiva Flow
This challenging, full-length fast paced Jivamukti class is a cleansing, rinsing twist-based, a strong and risinging practice. Starts with chanting and call and response Sita/Ram. This chant is chosen as Ram is the seat of the Manipura Chakra, the centre of ego and insecurities and this is what we're rinsing out when we're twisting from the centre. Sita/Ram are the perfect couple, and from this practice, this is the most perfect asana practice. The intention is set to being the most perfect being we able to be. With this intention, this Jivamukti class will keep you moving.
