AUTUMN INSPIRATION WITH VINYASA YOGA
As summer’s heat loosens its grip and the days get shorter, you might notice that you start to feel a corresponding surge of activity in preparation for winter. We have put together a 14-day vinyasa yoga course to help you to transition through this season. This course is perfect for:
- Improvers and intermediate / advanced practitioners
- Focus on balance, twists, transitions and grounding practices
- Getting on your mat at any time of day
- Vinyasa yoga
Autumn can feel like a time of real inspiration but sometimes as the season changes we can also feel a sense of loss, we may feel more unbalanced as we navigate this transition. It is a time of adjustment, but the season is long giving us the opportunity to perfect our transitions and find balance in time for winter as we begin to look more inwards.
09:20 | Lucy McCarthy
A short, sweet, easy class to get your body moving and energised in the mornings as the weather turns cooler. Thanks to Asquith Clothing for their clothing inspiration.
Balancing of the Seasons
32:58 | Liz Lark
An intermediate class to balance into the seasons. Some shoulder releases and then heat-inducing core warm ups prepare the body for a short yoga class including forearm balance, headstand with headstand variations, some vinyasa to lengthen and strengthen and then shoulderstand variations. Finished off beautifully with a lovely, long, nourishing relaxation. Perfect yin and yang sequencing featuring balances to balance seasonal fluctuations.
Grounding Flow for Hips
47:46 | Lucy McCarthy
A sweet grounding practice, fantastic for when you need to get some balance in your life. You will need a bolster for supported savasana.
Grace and Strength Vinyasa
48:03 | Jean Hall
Wave like fluidity of the spine through variations in the namaska sun salutations feeling grace, strength and power. From a slow, graceful beginning and with plenty of more advanced yoga poses to challenge the intermediate and advanced practitioners, those not ready for the peak poses of handstand, half moon and the splits should hold back to where you feel more comfortable.
35:37 | Sylvia Garcia
Starting mindfully, opening up the body, the sides of the body and hips slowly and gently, this vinyasa yoga class quickens to some beautiful vinyasa variations with its peak pose of bound bird of paradise which is then rotated, to challenge most of us in flexibility, strength and balance. Although an advanced practice, improvers will enjoy the openings at the beginning of the practice and the challenge - just do the variation which suits your own body, practice safely out there! Thanks to Asquith for their gorgeous clothing.

29:04 | Naomi Absalom
A vinyasa class which gets going swiftly and focuses not just on poses but the movement between them. This gives a very thorough, but soulful core workout. A great class for strengthening the upper body, as well as lengthening.
Yoga Through Life's Transitions
47:25 | Clare Beagley
This yoga class teaches us how to transition through change in life, big life changes or the changes which touch us in every day life. This class will have you surfing on your ocean breath and enjoying moving through and greeting change head on. This class is dynamic, but you are encouraged to spend time in transitions and enjoy the process of transitioning, rather than the destination. A strong hip focus and plenty of creative, fun variations on the usual poses. You will need a rolled up mat or a block and a strap.

Turning Toward Awareness: Yoga, Qigong & Mindfulness
37:02 | Mimi Kuo-Deemer
Feel centred, grounded and start to fine tune your awareness with this gentle and beautiful fusion of yoga, qigong and mindfulness class with a focus on twists and forward folds. With a gentle start, working with mindful movement, this is a practice exploring how we might work with twists as a way to discover greater ease and space in our physical, mental and emotional experience of being human. With twists, we are invited to curve our awareness inward and we grant ourselves space to learn to respond to whatever experiences arise. From this, we allow ourselves time to build better resources to meet the business of our outward lives.
Twist it Out, Rinse it clean
43:01 | Lucy McCarthy
This is a super twisty dynamic vinyasa flow yoga class that will cleanse out your spine and any tension lodged in your body. A good strong flow practice with steady standing poses, arm balances and twists galore. You will feel rinsed clean and ready to go after this yoga class.
Grounding, Centering, Letting Go
01:07:12 | Mimi Kuo-Deemer
A grounded, slow vinyasa which has some surprising challenges as well as a little qi-gong, for extra centering. This is an amazing class for those times when you need to just 'check in' with yourself - and from a rooted centre, you can grow wings to fly up to half-moon pose, crow and twist away your day. A very cleansing and calming class, although you will be asked to pay attention to your alignment as you fly!
