We’re launching our first Yoga Teacher Training course!

After decades of delivering online yoga, Movement for Modern Life are thrilled to announce the launch of our first ever 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course, in partnership with the UK’s premiere yoga teacher training course – Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training (IYTT).

Our comprehensive, fully live training will be delivered by an elite group of yoga teachers with over 100 years of combined experience. Including the fabulous Catherine Annis, who has been working with MFML for many years to deliver some of our most popular classes and workshops.

Perhaps 2025 is the year you take the plunge and deepen your knowledge of yoga to train with the very best and learn to become a yoga teacher – mostly from the comfort of your own home, with attendance at just two in-person weekends required.

The future of teacher training.

Throughout the course, we’ll investigate how our bodies move, how we respond to stimuli and how we can cultivate an atmosphere of authentic enquiry and exploration.  You’ll be encouraged to gain a clear understanding of how you move and how you can share that knowledge with all those who practice with you, to create new, healthier approaches to living and moving.

What makes our course special?

  • All our sessions are live, to create an engaging and thought provoking learning environment.  You can ask questions and receive immediate personalised feedback, enhancing your learning experience.
  • Learn from the country’s most experienced and respected yoga teachers.
  • Our approach draws on the latest research on fascia and movement science and explores practical, functional anatomy and physiology.
  • It’s modern, thoughtful and intelligent.  You’ll learn how to unpick what we’re doing in asana and how to apply and adapt yoga for each individual.
  • Learn the skills of body-reading and understand physical ability so you can confidently offer fully accessible classes, open to everyone.
  • Trauma sensitivity and accessibility is a key element of this training.  Learn how to deliver yoga classes which are trauma sensitive and welcoming to everyone, regardless of experience.
  • Learn how to deliver well-structured, engaging and balanced classes, workshops, retreats and one to one sessions.
  • Ethics in yoga: the art of adjusting – exploring touch, personal space and boundaries.
  • Learn to teach safely and with confidence, and to develop your own authentic teaching voice.
  • Explore breath awareness and learn how to hold space for meditation.
  • Learn about the history of yoga and its place in the modern world.
  • You will learn how to create and promote a yoga business which sustains you and reflects your values.

Yoga teacher training is a priceless investment in yourself,
your well-being, and your future
.

This teacher training course is for you if:

  • You want to gain the necessary skills and certification to become a qualified yoga teacher.
