Friday 14th – Sunday 16th January 2022
We are thrilled to announce our January 2022 live online yoga retreat focusing on firing up 2022 with strength and gratitude.
What is our live online January yoga retreat all about? The new year is a really powerful time to set intentions for the rest of the year and get excited about the magic that could happen in 2022. We all know that we will only get out of anything what we put in. Therefore, if we put in the work to feel our inner and outer strength, we can kickstart our manifestations and start the year with a sense of inner power and gratitude that we can then channel into our purpose for the year ahead. An online yoga retreat with MFML offers a way to find a down to earth, supportive community, who can collectively help you to find strength and support you in your own manifestation of magic.
What to expect
We will help you to feel strong and fired up, so when you set or assess your intentions for January, it is from a place of deep inner-knowing and outer strength to help you on your own magical journeys.
The practices will be live, online zoom classes in a friendly community and guided by our experienced yoga teachers, Sally Parkes and Ava Riby-Williams. You’ll feel energised and grounded and ready to manifest your intentions through a series of yoga and Pilates practises. We’ll focus on postural alignment and a strong core to help elevate your energy levels and find your inner power. Together, Sally and Ava are a powerful manifestation team bringing our community strength and gratitude. Founder Kat Farrants will be joining all the sessions, and lovingly guiding our community to take up the challenges that 2022 will bring.
You can expect:
- A weekend of live world-class yoga, Pilates, meditation and breath work classes from Sally Parkes and Ava Riby-Williams
- A special lunchtime Q&A session on Sunday – ask Sally Parkes questions about the practices she has shared and the themes for the weekend
- Access to our closed community group with all our teachers and fellow Movers to offer you guidance and support
- Custom-made journal with inspiration, tips and advice and space for you to journal
- A warm, human experience with time for you to connect with your strength
- A weekend of learning and support to equip you with the tools to reset and move forward with strength and gratitude
The Teachers
Sally Parkes has over twenty years teaching experience and shares practices with warmth, inclusivity and humour . As a senior yoga teacher and Pilates instructor, Sally brings an extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, whilst weaving all elements of the yoga tradition in order to empower students.
Ava Riby-Williams is a creative and intuitive teacher, facilitator and artist who sparks curiosity and play. Her teaching focuses on finding presence in the moment, empowering students to become their own inner teachers and recognising ourselves as diverse divinity, in unity.
Kat Farrants is the founder of MFML and she will be binding the retreat family together by hosting the discussions and supporting you all in sharing opinions and experiences.
The Daily Schedule
All sessions will be hosted live on Zoom and are suitable for all abilities; you are welcome to join no matter which stage what of your yoga or Pilates practice you are at. We will be offering suggestions for a range of additional classes which you can practice in your own time through the weekend.
We recommend you take the whole weekend off as if you were away on retreat! Spend time in nature, read books, journal, relax, book in a massage or bodywork session and eat nourishing foods. We’ll even be sharing some recipes for you to try out.
(All times are GMT)
Friday 14th January
5pm – 7pm
Welcome group circle and gentle floor based yoga flow class with Sally. The class will be a grounding, gratitude based yoga class to reset our energy and prepare for the weekend of strength and community.
Saturday 15th January
9am – 10.30am
Yoga and Pilates with Sally. This class will awaken the body and clear the mind by mobilising energy that will enliven your whole being. This will be achieved through flowing yoga postures linked by the breath and punctuated with Pilates based core focused movements. During this class we will also practice focusing fully on each movement, so you can cultivate a method of applying your full attention to action.
5pm – 7pm
Pleasure as power yoga class with Ava. What do we base our intention setting on? What’s the motivation to us wanting to bring change into our lives? Pleasure and feeling are paths to liberation; a compass towards more fulfilment and truth in our lives. In this class we’ll aim to raise our levels of aspiration for life, inspired by remembering and connecting to our highest potential of ‘feel good’. Join Ava for this guided exploration through yoga asana/movement, humming/singing, journaling, conversation and tea, and some gently guided self massage.
Sunday 16th January
9am – 10.30am
Yoga with Sally. Expect a strong and steady class that focuses on big yoga postures using our larger muscles groups in order to create heat and effectively build on our physical strength (no matter what that may currently be). Our focus will be to honour where you are with regards to your own physical abilities, whilst simultaneously building on your outer strength in a slow and steady way, so you can more easily harness your inner strength.
12pm – 1pm
A lunchtime Q&A with Sally. This is the time to ask any questions of Sally and have a lovely informal chat with other retreat participants, about the practises, and the themes of strength and gratitude.
5pm – 7pm
Yoga and closing circle with Sally. In this class, we will begin by tuning in to our intentions and fully focusing on how our body’s feel in the present moment, before starting to flow through a series of standing and balancing yoga postures in a slow and thoughtful manner. This will be followed by yoga postures that allow us to lengthen and stretch the main muscle groups and connective tissue, moving our awareness deeper in to the body, and closer to our inner strength. The closing circle will comprise a gratitude meditation to help us move into 2022 with strength and refreshed energy.
If you cannot attend a session, don’t worry, we will record the sessions and they will all be available for 14-days after the retreat for you to enjoy.
Cost
For five live yoga classes, meditations and discussions, access to our private Facebook community for support and guidance, and a retreat pack, the cost is just £67.
