Want to feel more supported and confident in the health of your Pelvic Floor? Whether you’re struggling with leaks, frequent urination, discomfort in the pelvic region or just looking to understand your body better, this workshop is for you.
Join Sally Parkes, a seasoned expert in women’s wellbeing, for a transformative 90-minute session that goes beyond the basics. Learn the anatomy of your pelvic floor, discover effective techniques to strengthen it, and uncover the secrets to improving this key element of core strength. Sally’s guidance and expert insights will leave you feeling empowered and supported. Plus she has a wonderful knack for making her teachings great fun with warmth, compassion and humour!
All participants will also receive a BONUS DIGITAL HANDOUT after the workshop with useful tips and info.
We will cover:
- What actually is the Pelvic Floor in anatomical terms
- Functions of the Pelvic Floor, and how it supports the bladder and uterus
- Type of muscle fibres that make up the pelvic floor and how different speeds of movement affect them
- Variety of training methods, including standing, seated and lying movement pattens. Using added weight (such as a bolster) to increase potential strength gains
- Gentle movement to support pelvic prolapse
Who is this workshop for:
Open to everyone who has an interest in empowering their core region.
Particularly beneficial for women who are post-childbirth or during and after menopause.
Suitable for women who are post-hysterectomy.
Yoga teachers who want to learn more about this vital part of our anatomy.
Ultimately the goal is to create flexible strength in the pelvic floor and a good range of movement through the pelvis as a whole. We’ll explore working all corners of the pelvic floor so that participants can then go forward and apply the tools to their daily lives, fitness training and in their other MFML movement classes.
The workshop will take place on Zoom and you will receive the link the day before the workshop. If you haven’t received the link please get in touch at least 2 hours before the start of the class.
Please have to hand a yoga brick, block and strap and ideally a medium-strength exercise band. If you don’t have any of these items, not to fear! You can easily make do with a thick blanket and a belt and Sally will offer plenty of adaptations.

Cost
We know that some of our community sometimes face real cost-dilemmas and that our wellbeing practices can be the first to suffer when life gets hard.
We want you to know that we are here for you.
We therefore offer a ‘Pay As You Can’ for our MFML workshops.
There is a suggested price, which we ask you to pay, if you have the means. The suggested price is the ‘true cost’ of running the workshop, and this is £30.
If, however, finances are getting in the way of you joining, you are welcome to pay what you can afford so that you can still benefit and participate. This is the Buddhist system of Dana. The minimum that we can accept is £15, because as a small business we similarly need to be mindful of our cost considerations.
For those of you who do have the means, please do feel free to pay more than the suggested price to help supplement and support the community and ensure these workshops and gatherings can continue and thrive.
Questions?
As always, feel free to get in touch if you have any queries whatsoever about the workshop, about payment, or any concerns at all. We really love to hear from you.
