Yin Yoga & The Chinese 5 Elements Workshop

Yin Yoga & the Chinese 5 Elements: Online Workshop with Norman Blair

Wednesday 22nd May – 7.30-9.00pm (BST)

Join Norman Blair for this online Yin Yoga workshop and find out more about the Chinese 5 elements and how they can enhance your life and yoga practice.

Everything connects and everything changes: this is a truth. One place we can see and experience this connection and change is the Five Phases/elements, from Daoism and Chinese philosophy.

  • Water feeds wood
  • wood is the fuel for fire
  • fire becomes earth
  • earth eventually could be metal
  • and metal contains and enriches water
  • and this continues on and on!

In this workshop, we use this concept of connection, with the elements as a guide, to explore our yoga practice and our life.

You can expect:

  • To gain an understanding of how the elements can be a guide for our life and practice
  • A welcoming community to learn and practice together
  • An exploration of the Chinese medicine energy channels
  • To discover certain points in your body to apply pressure to enhance your yoga practice
  • Connect to a sense of peace and balance through floor based, long held, Yin Yoga poses.
  • A safe space to soften and release tension

Who is this workshop for?

  • This workshop is suitable for every ability and level of experience.

Cost

We know that some of you are facing some real cost-dilemmas and we know that sometimes our wellbeing practices are the first to suffer when life gets hard.

We want you to know that we are there for you.

Therefore, our workshops and live events are offered on a ‘Pay As You Can’ basis.

There is a suggested price, which we ask you to pay, if you have the means. The suggested price is the ‘true cost’ of running the workshop, and this is £30.

If finances might get in the way of you joining, you can pay what you can afford, and therefore you are still able to join. This is the Buddhist system of Dana. The minimum that we can accept is £10, because like you, we are also struggling at these times.

Those of you do have the means, please do feel free to pay more than the suggested price. We want so much to continue to support you for years to come with online workshops and community gatherings. However, we can only do that if we continue to have your support through tougher times.

Please do get in touch if you have any queries whatsoever about the workshop, about payment, or any concerns at all. We really love to hear from you.
