Incorporating her knowledge of anatomy and drawing upon her BA Degree in Maharishi Vedic Science, Elisa offers a challenging and safe class environment for all levels. Up ahead, our convo with the creative yogi.

Daily Move – what do you do every day to keep moving?

I do 20 – 30 minutes of Yoga everyday. If I’m pushed for time then I do only 10 – 15 minutes, but I always do some.

Daily ingredient? Five minutes each day – what to do for you?

I take time to think of all my blessings and things that I’m thankful for. It helps me stay on track and focus less on what I don’t have and more on what I do have, like this I attract more good things.

Favourite way to detox?

Eat light meals for a day; cooked apples for breakfast, soup for lunch and dinner and sip hot water throughout the day. Giving the digestion a chance to rest and build up digestive fire.

How you fell in love with yoga:

A feeling of spaciousness in the body translated to an enormous sense of well-being.

Top tip for creating a habit:

Repetition. A little a day goes a long way.

What motivates you to move more?

The benefits I receive are greater than the effort it took to start.

If you weren’t a yoga teacher what would you like to be?

Director of a major health company, spreading good word for all people to have greater enjoyment from life.

What do you wear when you practice at home?

I love to practice in my underwear!

Inversions, turning your world upside down helps to see things from a different perspective.
