What do you teach and why?
I teach a variety of styles including Shakti Dance, Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and lead Sound Mediation. Through these styles I inject my creativity, inspiration and wisdom that these practices have given me to help those who need to give a burst of joy and inner peace.
What brought you to this practice?
I was working in fashion and design and I was in a heap of stress, I had lower back pain, I lacked confidence and I had a thirst for inner strength and growth.
Why do you teach?
I teach because it is my passion to create a safe space for students to release their daily stresses of the day to return back to their default setting of inner peace and light. It gives me great pleasure to serve those who need what I was desperate for when I first started attending yoga.
What motivates you?
Love, creativity, connections and community.
What is your favourite way to unwind?
A good cup of tea and watching comedy/entertainment with just me myself and I 🙂
Which living teachers / thinkers most inspire you and why?
I would have to say my parents, who were my first teachers to bring me into this world, raised me with the values of love, respect, gentleness, good work ethic, and understanding the value of family and community. Current teachers who have been instrumental in my growth because of their big open hearts and talent to elevate the world would be:
Paulo Coelho, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Louise Mita, Sara Avtar, Claudia Van Buren, & Stewart Pearce just to name a few!
