Live Online Retreat: Strength Through Connection

A Live Online Jivamukti Yoga and Yin Yoga Retreat with Andrea Kwiatkowski

Join us for a beautifully soulful weekend online yoga retreat with senior Jivamukti yoga teacher, Andrea Kwiatkowski. Expect live online yoga classes, guided meditations and discussions on how we can take our learnings off the mat and into our everyday lives.

Together, we will be exploring the theme of ‘Strength through Connection’. Valentine’s day is often a day where we are given messages of ‘self-care’ and ‘self-love’. But the philosophy behind the ancient yoga texts didn’t have a focus on self-care. Instead, the focus was on how our connections with others can bring us strength. At this time, which really has been lonesome for many of us, we have realised how essential community is to us. But it is through friendship and connection that we can find our inner strength, our resilience and the real joy of life. Yoga can help us to strengthen our resolve, wisdom, and our connection with ourselves, as well as with others.

Master Patanjali describes in sutra 3.24 (maitri- adishu balani): Through friendliness, kindness and compassion strength comes. Our true strength is the strength of friendship, the power of love and compassion. A steady yoga practice, uninterrupted over a  long period of time can result in an attitude that promotes friendship, kindness and compassion.

During this weekend retreat, we will cultivate a spirit of togetherness and develop this attitude of kinship so that we can take our learnings off the mat and well beyond lockdown. You can expect a weekend infused with yoga philosophy in which we will explore themes of love, strength, kindness and community.

So many of us are really missing connection and close contact of family and friends. This will be a wonderful retreat to share and do with your family and loved ones. Even though we are apart from our community, friends and loved ones, let’s practice together to find out through practice, how yoga can help us to strengthen our connection to ourselves and to others.
