Build confidence, learn to trust your body and have fun with inversions
Wednesday 24th August 2022 | 7pm – 8.30pm (BST)
Join us for a workshop with Sylvia Garcia to begin the exciting journey into inversions and arm balances.
Headstand, crow pose, handstand – all these can be scary poses if you’ve never been upside down before, but in this fun workshop, Sylvia will break down the key elements to help you explore and experience them safely.
Inversions and arm balances can be calming for the nervous system, are a playful way to reverse gravity (goodbye wrinkles!) and are great for building confidence. More importantly, they can help improve self-belief, faith in yourself and trust in your body.
Practically, we will learn how to create a stable foundation for these poses as well as discover how to make them feel less scary! Each pose explored will also have the bail or escape route clearly explained which is a really important part of helping to create confidence.
Poses to expect:
- Bakasana (Crow Pose)
- Ashtavakrasana (Eight-Angle Pose)
- Sirsasana (Headstand)
- Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Stand)
This class is suitable for all levels and abilities, but will be aimed at those new to inversions.
Let’s have fun going upside down!
