Hatha › Increase Focus
Create a Steady & Strong Yoga Foundation
Learn how to stay safe during your yoga class; how to be strong and engage the correct muscles when you do your yoga practice. This sequence breaks down some basic biomechanics; learn how to engage the glutes and core in your practice to stabilise your yoga. This is a slightly different way to practice a yoga class. It encourages a greater control while in yoga poses and more of an even distribution of work for the whole body. The results is a refinement of body, mind and energy. You will need a strap and a belt.
Hit The Wall Hatha
A complete hatha yoga class at the wall with alignment focus. The wall is a fabulous prop to give us support and give us feedback on our alignment, so move your mat to the wall for this fun and revealing complete practice. As you use the wall's support and feedback, you will learn much about the way you transmit force through your body and where there may be imbalances and inefficiencies in your alignment. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to invert, twist, and stretch with more leverage and depth. Meet your new favourite prop! You will also need a chair.
Feet, Stability & Balance
This yoga class focuses on giving you a great connection to your foundation; your feet. Discover dexterity in refined movement of your yogi-feet and an energetic lift in how to move forward in life’s journey. The class takes place almost entirely on two blocks, great for feeling your feet and working on balance and stability. This is great for people who have previously sprained ankles, weak ankles and knees or want to improve their balance as well as proprioperception ( the subtle sense of the body’s movement and positioning without sight). You will need two blocks.
A yoga class to help develop your strength and stability in balance postures by challenging yourself with your balance. We will use a brick to bring new life into tree and warrior three postures. Learn some muscular patterns and alignment methods to work these poses more efficiently.

Morning Practice: Fluidity and Flow
This morning yoga and qigong class is focused on circular, smooth movements through the body and joints to set you up for the day. With some beautifully awakening qigong forms such as variations of swimming dragon followed by active sun salute variations and fluid movements through standing poses. Enjoy waking up all your senses in this awakening flow!
Morning Practice: Awaken with the Elements
This morning flow class focuses on a connection to the natural elements. It is an awakening yoga practice with some qigong. The ancient yogis, Buddhists and Daoist sages believed that we are made of the elements of the natural world. This practice will help us awaken to this connection within ourselves to the elemental world around us. It’s very much like a shorter version of my morning practices, integrating yoga and qigong into mindful movements that help me harmonise my inner body with the outer world. This has a bit of everything – abdominals, hip work, backbends, twists, forward folds and arm balances. Enjoy!
Take a Break: Yoga & Qigong Part2: Focus + Clarity
The second in our series to provide a constructive break during work or study. These Yoga and Qigong practices all provide you with renewed clarity, and will help clear the cobwebs, also focus on clear alignment through the spine and limbs. It’s great to bring a mental focus and concentration back into the body when we're too in our heads. With some precision in our alignment as well as intentional practices from qigong such as ‘clearing the cobwebs’ (one of my favourites!), we can move forward with our day more embodied awareness and presence.
Live At Yoga Garden Party: Mindfulness in Movement
Take some space. This meditative class invites you to take some space in your life. This is a movement meditation class for you to form mindfulness around your movements. The movements are an extension of your mindfulness practice. This is a practice of coming home, creating space and time for you. You take very gentle movements to invite you into a state of mindfulness meditation around these movements. You will start supine, with gentle leg and arm movements, then very gentle flows and ending with a lovely, long relaxation and body scan.
(6) Insight & Intuition: The 3rd Eye Chakra
A meditative class to awaken the higher mind, quieten the internal chatter and stimulate your intuitive abilities. Starting with quieting eye movements, and then with gentle poses with a block to rest on your third eye chakra. Suitable for doing before bed, or in the morning, enabling you to act with insight and intuition throughout the day. You will need a block and an eye mask.
Journey To Your Centre
A class to remember who we really are through the sutle body. In the first 15 minutes, you will explore a completely different kind of yoga, where you will explore deeply within yourself and your body to find the middle body, the deep centring space within us all. You'll move slowly, deeply, and softly through a highly conscious flow class which ignites a remembrance of centre as a place to rest into through all the activities of life. This class is magic for your nervous system. Note that the headstand tutorial can be watched as an addendum to this class if you have no experience of headstand.
Cultivating Our Inner Light
A beautiful flow to open the heart, warm the back and still the mind. In the Yoga Sutra, the busy mind is described as quieting down through a number of ways: lengthening the breath, concentration on objects, or on experiences in deep sleep or dream states. It is also suggested that the mind can be quieted by concentration on the ever-present source of light that is believed to dwell inside the human heart. This light grows brighter when we do practices – like polishing a jewel that begins to shine and reflects the light all around it. We’ll look at ways to work with sunlight and moonlight in this fluid vinyasa-based sequence, and help awaken the source of light within each of us.
