Hip Yin Yoga: Above The Knees - Below The Navel
A hip-focused Yin Yoga class. In this class we replace intensity of form with length of time, so we hold shapes for minutes in order to move deeply from within. This hip-focused class is perfect for those of us with a sedentary lifestyle, who spend too much time seated, especially at desks or in the car, or for athletes, especially runners and cyclists who can suffer from tight hips, which can cause back troubles. You may need blocks, blankets, bricks and a bolster with this class.
Scaravelli Style Pelvic Balance Workshop
A beautiful Scaravelli workshop style yoga class, for you to deepen your practice, your knowledge and to increase your body awareness. This class focuses on finding balance in the hip and pelvic area. Not so much a movement yoga class, more an exercise in developing sensitivity to, and finding balance and stability in your pelvis, hips and sacrum with very subtle, small movements and exercises in weight distribution.
Elemental Flow: Root Down Gently
The First of Lucy's 5 elements series. This yoga class will connect you to the earth with gentle, slow and steady movements and a focus on grounding, slowing down and getting present. Perfect for when you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed, or you just need help to calm. This class starts with a long breath-work relaxation, then works gently on the hips to release feelings of business and stress. You will need a tennis-size ball and you might need a block.
Progress Your Practice: Backbends
The third class in progressing your practice series, this beginners yoga class focuses on backbends. Backbends help to keep the back and shoulders open after days hunched over a computer or smartphone and are essential to keep the back and spine healthy. With some slow flow and twists to counterbalance your backbending class. You will need a blanket, rolled up and two bricks.
Progress Your Practice: Forward Folding Flow
The first in a progressing your practice series, great for those who have mastered the basic yoga poses but are looking to start to flow! The first class in this progressing your practice series is a fully rounded class, featuring some of the standing poses you'll have grown familiar with, but with a focus on folding forwards. Forward folds help to release hips and hamstrings - things which those of us who have seated work may struggle with. You will need a blanket, a strap and two blocks.
(2) Fluidity & Release: The Sacral Chakra
Seriously Hip Flow
Yoga For Athletic Recovery
A recovery sequence for athletes designed to create openness and facilitate deep release in the body. A great complement to any physical activity, with hip openers, hamstring stretches, back bends and calf stretches - ideal after exercise of any kind, or indeed after a dynamic yoga class!
Slow Flow for Hips
Deep Tissue Stretch
This yin class is perfect for releasing the deep fascia, or connective tissue underneath the muscle, which is really resistent to stretching and often can only be really released by a deep tissue massage or a very deep fascia stretch. All athletes, cyclists, runners and type A personalities will benefit from this class and it's an ideal class to take after a vigourous vinyasa yoga class.
Half An Hour Of Ashtanga
This is a paired-down Ashtanga class, if you want the kick, but don't have the time. Perfect for mornings. With only one Sun Salutation of A and one of B, Charlie flows straight into some standing postures, some balances and seated postures for a shorter, but just as rounded Ashtanga yoga class.
Unwind Your Hips
Whoever said that vinyasa was tough and slow, should try this yoga class! Our hips can get really tight just due to sitting too much or running could do this too, this class unravels tensions held in the hips. This work is very slow and incredibly deep. Be patient. Give your hips the time, energy and release they deserve. We promise you will feel the difference! You will need some wall space and a block.
Wake Up with Morning Jivamukti
This shorter Jivamukti practice is perfect for the morning, or when you might be shorter on time, but it's a full-length class, no frills but expect thrills. The class includes juicy vinyasa sequences, twists, back and foreward bends, plus headstand. Everything you'd want to set you up for the day. You may need blocks and a blanket.
Vinyasa Flow for Moving On
This class is designed to help you to release tensions held within the body to enable you to move on and be open to possibilities in life. This slow vinyasa flow will keep you mindful and moving through life's more turbulent times to enable you to release, let you and when you are ready, move on.
Journey into Backbends (3)
This is a challenging backbending class, only for those ready to take the next step in their journey into backbends. The class features some pretty tricky backbends, again with twists to support the spine, but this class is mostly balancing backbends. Remember to engage your core to keep safe and just relax in child's pose for any poses your body isn't ready for. This short vinyasa sequece goes straight into some deep backbends, we recommend you warm up first, maybe withJourney 2 before this sequence, or give yourself the full Journey 1-3 for a real treat for your back. You will need a strap.
Post Travel Yoga for Hips, Shoulders and Backs
This post-travel sequence is perfect for easing hips, shoulders and backs. Travel does create downward pressure on backs, shoulders and hips, a tightening and weakening of muscles. This class is designed to aliviate pain and discomfort from the travel or from sitting still for lengths of time. A great class after any long journey to stretch out, or indeed after a day sitting in the office.
Journey into Backbends (2)
This backbending and twisting class will suit improvers/advanced but there are plenty of modification for those feeling less mobile. Backbends lift the spirits, open the heart and energise. This sequence is characteristically playful with plenty of twists to ease and align the spine during class. A great class to get you moving in the morning!
