The Radiance Retreat: A Live Online Yoga Retreat January 2021

It’s time to slough off the effects of 2020 and start afresh! Many of us have felt fatigued and overwhelmed by this year and it feels that we’re at a juncture; do we want to continue with our old ways? Or do we want to reconnect with our life-purpose, manifesting a fulfilling life within a supportive community?

Join us for our much-requested weekend retreat packed with live online yoga classes, guided meditations, discussions and our special, loving and supportive community.

Start 2021 the way you mean to go on; filled with inner radiance and joy.

You will be held in a supportive, nurturing group, so that we can, together, express our hopes and deepest intentions for 2021 and beyond, and together, step into a life of inner, shining radiance.

What to expect

The Dates

Friday 8 January – Sunday 10 January 2021

The Teachers

Lucy McCarthy teaches mindful, alignment based Vinyasa flow and will be leading the yoga, meditation and pranayama classes, plus the intention setting opening ceremony and the closing ceremony.

Rakhee Jasani teaches classes which combine breath-led yoga, qigong and meditation to help you discover your own creative expression. Rakhee will lead the journalling session and yin yang class with Yvonne.

Yvonne O’Garro leads beautifully relaxing and replenishing restorative yoga classes which are a wonderful mood-lifter. Yvonne will be teaching some restorative yoga as part of Saturday’s yin/yang flow.

Kat Farrants is the founder of MFML and she will be binding the retreat family together by hosting the discussions and supporting you all in sharing opinions and experiences.

The Daily Schedule

All sessions will be hosted live on Zoom and are suitable for all abilities; you are welcome to join no matter stage what of your yoga practice you are at. We will be offering suggestions for a range of additional classes which you can practice in your own time through the weekend.

We recommend you take the whole weekend off as if you were away on retreat! Spend time in nature, read books, journal, relax, book in a massage or bodywork session and eat nourishing foods. We’ll even be sharing some recipes for you to try out.

Friday 8th January

5pm – 6:30pm

Welcome group circle to set intentions for the retreat with Lucy & Kat, followed by some yin yoga and breath work with Lucy.

6:30pm – 7pm

Option to join a journalling session with Rakhee.

Saturday 9th January

9am – 10:30am

An energetic vinyasa yoga class with Lucy designed to open and clear the heart space. Expect backbends and to feel uplifted!

4:30pm – 6:30pm

Yin Yang Yoga class with Rakhee and Yvonne, followed by a mediation and an opportunity to check in with the teachers and other participants.

Sunday 10th January

9am – 10:30am

A vinyasa yoga class, meditation and pranayama with Lucy which will focus on twists to cleanse tension and make space for radiance.

5pm – 6:30pm

Flow and restore yoga class with Lucy to soothe and settle and prepare for the integration of the retreat in the coming days. Followed by a closing circle and opportunity to connect with the community.


For eight hours of live yoga classes, meditations and discussions, plus access to our private Facebook community for support and guidance, and a retreat pack, the cost is £67. For those who are key workers, over 70 years of age or experiencing hardship at this time, there is a subsidised cost of £39. We trust you will chose the most appropriate option for you at this time.

Plus, 10% of all ticket sales will go to FareShare (fighting hunger and tackling food waste).

Practicing safely

The live classes are for your education and your enjoyment only. You are participating in the live class at your own risk. As part of your yoga journey it is important to select the appropriate level and benefit of class for your experience. You are encouraged to to take breaks when needed and/or when in doubt, don’t do sequences that you are even a little concerned about. If you have any health condition, please seek medical advice before taking any form of exercise. If you have any concerns, please let us know before hand.

If you feel unwell in any way or if you experience any discomfort during class, please stop the class and consult your health practitioner immediately. Remember that yoga is mostly a journey off the mat and into life, and it is a journey about taking responsibility for our own actions and cultivating self-knowledge. Only choose exercises which will nurture and support you, and please take responsibility for yourself and your current abilities during your practice. Remember that each day is different, and even if yesterday you were able to perform a movement, that is no indicator that the same exercise is possible today. Please move within your comfortable limits and if you’re in any doubt whatsoever, please seek medical advice.
