Moving Into Heartfelt Decisions | Kat’s Movement Mission

Indecision can be debilitating and get you stuck in a cycle, this week Kat shares her ways to get out of this rut.

It occurs to me that one of the most important life-skills that there can be in a person’s life is the ability to make wise and swift decisions. I write this as I’m caught in a whirlwind of decisions.

What’s the worst case scenario with decision-making? It’s indecision – simply decision paralysis. We all know that life goes best when everything moves.

We all need to keep moving, we need to keep momentum.

Every business guru will tell you that the worst business decision you can make is indecision.  The best thing you can do for your business is to just keep making swift decisions, even if they turn out to be ‘wrong’.

But how to decide what to do when life just doesn’t seem clear and every turn you take seems to have each of its equal merits? This is where yoga and yogic practices can really help.

What the practices of yoga, including breath-work, chanting, meditation, yoga nidra and of course movement in the form of asana can help us with is to clear our minds so that we have a clear heart-space.

When our heads become clear of our everyday chatter – of the lists, of the ‘shoulds’, of expectations, then we start to listen to something a little deeper. We start to listen to the heart.

When we give ourself the space to, our heart will very quietly, and in its own time, tell you the answer.

Often the answers are in the space, in the quiet of our heart. The only trick is to stop the noise and chatter in our heads to listen to our hearts, our inner teachers, to know the best decision for our higher self, for our best self.

Let me know how you get on with this on the Movers Group.

With love
