Universal Teachings 2: Manifesting Stillness
From Alexander's series, 'A Whizz Through Universal Teachings', this short meditation is to acquire stillness as a felt, embodied memory by establishing the still-point in the centre. This meditation takes us out of the linear dynamic of everyday life, allowing us to interact with the events of life, without losing our connection to our deeper sense of self.
Universal Teachings 1: Introduction and Stillness Practice
Alexanders meditation series, ‘A Whizz through Universal Teachings’ is based on the universal teachings which aim to further our inner evolution. Universal teachings are comprised of truths that, once applied and put into action, facilitate change and ultimately lead to our personal transformation This timeless and entirely practical knowledge is not based on a religion, philosophical system or belief. Universal knowledge surrounds us wherever we go, we only need to be receptive to it. It is transmitted through the arts, science, poetry, music, architecture, literature, philosophy and of course the nature all around us. The main objective of universal teachings is to transform us into a more balanced and compassionate person also known as ‘the middle person’. The teachings facilitate us through a process through which we transform into what we are supposed to be in our innermost ‘essence’. Living and interacting through essence that lies above our fluctuating personality, we will ultimately be able to live and fulfil our purpose.

This meditation is conducted with the eyes open. In this way and using a soft gaze, you can plunge into presence. With soft eyes, subject/object melts away. Advanced Meditation: Staying Put
A more advanced meditation. This is guided for 15 minutes. And after that, you should continue sitting for around 45 minutes, on your own. The meditation is about staying put, guided only for 15 minutes. Thanks to Flow Tunbridge Wells for providing this beautiful location for filming.

Meditation 1: Rooting
The first in Alex's series of meditations. This short, first meditation gives us the space to root, to ground, into the body and the breath in order to give the mind it's spaciousness. A meditation on the breath which settles into the still of the mind. Best to be practiced before any kind of important event, meeting or challenging situation. Regularly applied, it gradually creates an internal anchor or reference point, and is an ideal preparation for meditation as well.
Meditation 2: Containment
A beautifully soothing meditation practice, gathering all our scattered energies to take our focus inwards. Best to be practiced when we have given a lot of our attention to events in life and other people. It evokes a sense of hibernation and peaceful internal comfort, like coming home.
Meditation 3: Sun & Moon
Meditation 4: De-stress
Eternal Body Breathing
The eternal body is a meditation on the different 'koshas' or layers of bodies which exist. This meditation takes us out of our purely physical body, the emotional/psychological body, to the eternal body, which lives beyond space and time. This is a more advanced, more spiritual practice. But with no judgements, just try to feel what you feel through this very special meditation.
Light of Conciousness Meditation
A meditation on consciousness. This meditation helps to bring more of the light of consciousness into the unknown parts of ourselves, essential for those of us on a path of inner-evolution, and even for those who aren't, this is essential for decision-making so that our true consciousness shines through in all decisions. This meditation shows us how to reduce the 'doing' and letting consciousness through 'allowing', which reduces resistance to the consciousness mind.
