Learn Crow Pose
A workshop-style tutorial class in which Adam will help you develop your bakasana (crow or crane pose) practice with three different training variations. We will explore this shape in varying orientations to help you develop the requisite skills to execute it well. If this pose is difficult for you, you will find a path forward or learn some options on what to do instead. You will need a block.
Flow Towards Flying Pigeon Pose
This strong vinyasa yoga class will flow through a series of poses in preparation for flying pigeon pose (Eka Pada Galavasana), which is essentially pigeon pose perched on top of chaturanga pose. This sequence gradually builds up to flying pigeon pose by focusing on core and upper body strength, the midline connection through activation of the inner thighs, hip opening in external rotation and hamstring lengthening, so it’s great for engaging and activating the whole body! You will need two blocks; these can be great for having under your hands to minimize compression in the soft tissues of the hips in some of the lunge shaped poses, as well as being helpful to lengthen the arms and get more space in the poses.

A simple game in which we stand on the bolster and perform the 'olympics'! This challenges your balance and ﬁres up your feet, in turn strengthening your legs particularly your ankles. A great workout for the hips, too. Find out what happens when the surface you stand on is not what you’re used to in this fun, playful movement class. You'll need a bolster.
Permission To Play (1): Shoulder's Tea-time
Mobilise and gently strengthen your shoulders creatively. This playful movement class is a must for those dealing with shoulder injuries or tight shoulders. If you have an injured or weak shoulder, or are just protecting your shoulder, but would like to retain strength in your shoulder, the shoulder's teacup is a fabulous exercise, inspired by qigong. Also a fantastic warm up for safely practising speciﬁc movements like wild thing and crowning your pigeon. You will need two blocks or books.
Tadasana: The Blueprint Pose
Finding your alignment in Tadasana is perhaps the most important yoga pose. In this yoga tutorial Kristin shows us how to find correct alignment in Tadasana, the mountain pose. Then Kristin goes on to show us how to find the same Tadasana alignment in Warrior 2, extended side angle pose, triangle pose and half moon pose including how to keep the knee protected during side angle poses. Essential watching for us all!
Glute Strengthening Workout
Conditioning exercises to target your glutes! In our yoga practice, glutes (the big muscles in your bottom) can get neglected. But strong glutes can really help you to strengthen and stabilise your hips and lower back. This class has some strong moves which the less strong and mobile will find tricky, but this class is recommended to be repeated frequently as a great addition to your yoga practice.

A short tutorial to help you practice the tripod headstand to crane pose transition. Starting with hip stretches then some strengthening with plank pose, this class shows us how to transition from tripod headstand to crane pose. You'll need a stable, freestanding tripod headstand for this tutorial.
Hyperflexibility: Tips to Strengthen and Stabilise
Super important advice for anyone who practices yoga regularly. Packed with tips to train your nervous system to recognise hyper extension. This workshop, focusing on hyper extension of the elbow and knee joints explains everything you need to know about this complicated topic. You will need a block and strap/belt.
Balance And Stability Quickie
A surprisingly challenging balance sequence, all on a block. Great for improviing your stability, and you may find that your glutes get a workout too! A fantastic class for all-levels, but you may find that you'd prefer to stay at the first stage of the practice until you're ready to move on. You will need a yoga brick to balance on.
Release Your Neck; Reduce Fatigue
This class is a workshop-style yoga class to target areas that hold tension in the neck, causing fatigue. The class focuses on head and neck alignment, jaw release and strength and shoulder mobility. With exercises to gain awareness of where we might be unnecessarily straining our neck and holding tension, we explore head aligment and then use neck and shoulder stretches and strengthening exercises to help release tension. You will need a blanket, foam block, cushion and a strap.
Step By Step Into Flying Splits
A tutorial to show you the best way to approach, work toward and a step by step guide into the Flying Splits, or Eka Pada Koudinyasana I. Starting with plank for building arm strength (we recommend daily plank for strength building), then some hamstring and hip warm-ups. We move via hanumanasana (the splits) and into first the modified pose, and then into the full version of the pose. You will need 2 bricks and a folded blanket.

Butt Conditioning to Ease Back and Hip Pain
This short yoga class brings awareness and strength to the glute muscles which can ease tight hips and help ease lower back pain by strengthening and toning the Gluteal muscles, therefore creating more balance and support across this hips and pelvis. Practice this twice a week to support your yoga practice. You will need a block and a cushion.

Be a Warrior Not a Worrier!
An alignment focused Hatha class based at the wall for standing poses, including the warrior poses. This class uses the wall, two yoga bricks and a strap to make sure that your standing poses are perfectly alighted for your body. The wall is used to give us information as to our alignment. This class is an invaluable tool for checking your standing pose alignment.

In this video we look at how we might go about best preparing the body and mind for crow pose. Once we understand the individual elements at play in this fun but challenging posture we can create a logical progression to perfect the pose in our own special way. With wrist, arm and core warm ups and moving into one leg crow. You may need a block.

Crow (or Bakasana) is a handstand, although not many of us every consider this! It forms the basis of all hand balances and in this session we take look at the many factors that make crow a challenging position and how we might overcome these and refine our crow pose if we already have one.
