A delicious, gentle side bending hatha yoga class, focusing on open the side body in order to open up the lungs for a healthier breathing technique, as well as building strength and immunity. Feel expansive in the lungs and ribcage for freedom to breath well. A perfect class before a breathwork practice or to simply open up the body and lungs at the start of, or end of the day. Class 3 - Focus: Rest and Recharge Each class in this short series is designed to rest mind and body with gentle movements, breathing techniques, meditation, a guided relaxation, chanting and postures that are held for a couple of minutes. This class dips into various postures and breath work specifically designed to prepare for meditation. At the end, we do the Jivamukti Blessings Meditation. It would be helpful to have blocks, a strap and a cushion or bolster for sitting. You may also like to use mala beads or a beaded necklace for the meditation. Recorded 23/09/25.

Each class in this short series is designed to rest mind and body with gentle movements, breathing techniques, meditation, a guided relaxation, chanting and postures that are held for a couple of minutes. The fascia will be gently but effectively stretched, the breath elongated and the mind calmed leaving a feeling of being physically and mentally restored. Using our own body weight, this class encourages full ranges of movement through the shoulders and chest area creating a more ‘open’ feeling in the upper body. This is a great practice to do before getting out of bed, as a first thing in the morning breath practice, or as a practice to do when we're feeling overwhelmed or anxious. Starting with grounding and mindfulness of the breath, then an ujjayi breath practiced followed by alternate nostril breathing. Great breathwork practices to learn for when we need to find some peace and space in the day.
