This yoga class offers us a few quick fixes and options to modify sun salutes and chaturanga dandasana for those new to the practice or who feel challenged by the strength and flexibility demands of these postures. You will learn three different options for practising chaturanga dandasana that you can bring back to your personal practice.

Honour Your Cycle: Summer
This class celebrates the vitality of the summer of the menstrual cycle. With rhythmic, nutritious, grounding movements, you move and breath to get some flow and energy into your body with lots of rhythm and circles. Start with your feet and get moving through all your joints with a rhythmic flow to gently bring the sunshine in! Then class ends with a micro yoga nidra relaxation. You will need bolsters and cushions to get comfortable in your yoga nidra and perhaps padding for the knees for the rhythmic yoga movement practice.

Ashtanga Yoga: Standing and Stabilising Poses
A mostly standing Ashtanga yoga class suitable for those newer to the Ashtanga practice.This sequence will get you stronger and more grounded as you stabilise. Starting with variations on sun salutations and then going through some of the Ashtanga standing poses in the primary series, the focus in this class is to make the ashtanga practice appropriate for you and with an emphasis on the practice energising your body in a way that is supportive and nourishing. You may need two bricks.
